Abstract

All socialists, including Marxian socialists, accept the gen­eral idea that somehow the basic goods and services of a society ought to be collectively owned and collectively controlled for the benefit of all instead of a few. This is not a new idea; it is an idea that you can trace back to the Old Testament, and you can trace it up through history.
