Naval War College Review
Abstract
All too often consideration of questions of logistics is deferred in favor of the more glamorous and more exciting questions of strategy and tactics. Even so, the task of logistics is to provide, train1 equip, and maintain military forces capable of conducting sustained combat operations. For this reason logistics establishes very real limitations to what strategy can accomplish, and at all times it must be a personal concern of commanders at all levels.
