Naval War College Review
Abstract
Much has been written in these pages and the Newsletter for Navy Officers of the Chief of Naval Operations' concern about the "best and the brightest" atte11ding the Naval War College. In keepi11g with this program the Senior Service College (SSC) selection procedures were changed beginning with the spring 1985 screening board. The first period of eligibility will be for three years-the periods being between 14 and 17 years of commissioned service. The selection board for this window will be comprised of members of the annual commander promotion board.
