Naval War College Review
Abstract
In sharing a few of my thoughts on the importance of your work here, I would like to open with a quotation from Michelangelo. The remark is really rather simple. In about 1560, after a lifetime of creative work, Michelangelo was asked, "Where did you come up with all the ideas?" After a moment he just shrugged and replied, "Ideas are a natural function of the brain , just as breathing is for the lungs."
