Abstract

Five years have elapsed since the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982 LOS Convention) was opened for signature in Jamaica on 10 December 1982. Currently, over 150 nations have signed the 1982 LOS Convention, and over 30 nations have ratified it.
