Abstract
Antisubmarine warfare in the U.S. Navy has been allowed to deteriorate since the end of the Cold War. The growing threat demands that ASW be restored to health, and the Navy appears to be on the brink of a real commitment. However, the pace of revitalization will be significantly less than it needs to be if sustained support, effective organization, and ample resources are not forthcoming.
