Naval War College Review

Volume 60, Number 2 (2007) Spring

The “educational continuum.” The Naval War College is a part of a seamless process in the education of naval officers, and others, for leadership in the twenty-firstcentury security environment. The interrelationships between its sources (policy and fleet influences), partners (notably the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland), and of course its products, its graduates, are represented here by their arrangement in a toroid-like pattern—denoting continuity and suggestive of infinity.
